Changing battery in key fob won't get rid of battery warning inside the car

I've tried two brand new sets of batteries, and the annoying warning indicator inside the car still won't go away. Car still works fine, and I'd hate to deal with the hassle of taking it to the dealership for this. Any ideas?

Mine does it too. I read somewhere it has to do with the sensor.

Guess I just got used to it.

And as for the dealer, you know that when you bring it in it's not gonna do it for them...right?

Which is exactly why I hate going there. Had an annoying rattling sound coming from the seatbelt area of my passenger side. Of course when I get there it no longer does it, even when I was driving the car for them across a bumpy road. When I leave, the noise comes back

Got the same problem here, I think it's a sensor issue as Mattster suggested.

Have you guys tried putting your key fob in the holder while driving? I don't know if this charges it, but that is how my wife's BMW works when she gets a fob battery indicator.

I've noticed this only when I've bought the cheapy "2 for" packs of the replacement batteries. I've never had a problem when I've bought a name brand replacement.
