Bluetooth Low In-Call Volume

I have a 2011 G37Xs coupe and use an LG G2 phone paired with the nav system to make and receive calls. One thing I have noticed over my 2 months of ownership is that at highway speeds I have to crank the in call volume to max to be able to hear who Im talking to. Even at max, I sometimes have a hard time hearing them. Is this normal for this car?

Did you try raising the volume on the phone itself?

That I haven't tried. I thought, during Bluetooth output, the volume was fixed?

yes, it is if you bought anything but an iPhone. welcome to the club of "luxury" car ownership. weird how the BT quality is worse than a VW and Ford Fiest I've had as rentals since.

Bluetooth volume can be changed from the source as well as the receiving unit.

Bluetooth Low In-Call Volume-i5c0fgi.png

Can someone explain the options:

Incoming Call
Outgoing Call

This is the definition according to the owners manual:

However, adjusting either to either extreme seems to make absolutely no difference in volume as heard in the car (incoming call), or on the other phone (outgoing call).

Anyone have any suggestions as to what these actually adjust?
