No. You just select, on your phone, which one you want for phone and which one for music.

Its plug and play and any bluetooth device will work just as if you had an ipod/iphone connected to your car.

If I get this device with iphone 5/5s

what happens to the bluetooth that is connected to the car?

Like if someone call me when I'm in the car, is it going to connect to the device or the car?

I fell like if it connects to the device, I won't be able to use the hand-free bluetooth phone option.. am I wrong?

IF YOU ARE GETTING AN IPHONE THEN YOU DO NOT NEED THIS PRODUCT. OUR CARS WORK GREAT IF YOU PLUG AN IPHONE STRAIGHT TO THE USB PORT.

This Device is if you want to use Bluetooth with anything else thats not an Iphone.

Like i said if your getting a iphone then you do not need anything else. and if all your using it for is music then a 5 or even an iphone 4 would do just fine.

Heres a newer model and it eliminates the need for a ipod cable and plugs straight to the USB port.

I have a 2012 non-nav G and have tried this Tune2air WMA1000 and even the WMA2000. I can confirm that this device does not work, at least in my car. I started a thread about this device here Hope this help!

 

thats weird. I dont own it yet myself because i bought an ipod before i knew about this but i been wanting to get it for the times when i forget my ipod or someone else in the car wants to play music through their phone.

I see that you are trying to use an iphone with the Tune2air. Now does the iphone work in the car if you just plug it right to the USB port? Because as i understand and have tried any newer ipod/ iphone works just fine. I have an ipod current gen and i have tried a iphone 5 and they work perfect. From what ive read and researched any car that can recognize a ipod/iphone the device will work.

 

I just ordered iphone 5 from ebay.

My contract expires in a year.. hopefully it will do the job by then.

I just bought a 2012, non-navigation, and was going through the same issues about streaming audio from my android phone. I just bought the naxa NAB-4003 ($10.00) and it works perfectly. All I did was plug it into the usb port, pair my phone, and my music started playing. I've only tried it with Spotify, but it should work with anything. Hopefully this helps!

 

I just bought one of these on Amazon, thank's to sukyle25 for mentioning it! I just hope it works as easy as it looks.

 

2012 g37xs non navi. I bought it and tried it on a iPhone 6 and 3rd gen iPod touch. Both would not connect to the damn device. Had to return the product.
