Anyone has aftermarket rear backup camera hook up to the RCA inputs?

I was browsing on Amazon and found this third party backup camera:

Amazon.com: TaoTronics® TT-CC22 Bar Type Car License Plate Mount Rear View Backup Camera (Waterproof IP67 / Color CMOS / 170-Degree Viewing Angle / Distance Scale Lines / Zinc Metal / Black): Car Electronics Amazon.com: TaoTronics® TT-CC22 Bar Type Car License Plate Mount Rear View Backup Camera (Waterproof IP67 / Color CMOS / 170-Degree Viewing Angle / Distance Scale Lines / Zinc Metal / Black): Car Electronics

I was wondering if anyone that have something similar to this and have it hook up to the RCA input on the armrest storage. Then you just have to press AUX every time you backup to view the camera on the screen.

My car doesn't come with navigation or backup camera and I have aftermarket trunk so there is no hole on the trunk for the camera. The camera on the license plate frame is the only resort that we can use to get backup view.

I guess i will have to buy this and type up a installation tutorial for people that doesn't have backup camera. At $30 and a great return policy from Amazon, you can't go wrong either way.

As for auto switching to backup camera when in reverse look into PAC VCI-NIS2.

so i splice the black & red wires from the camera into the reverse light wires. Black go to black and red go to back/white wire from the car. No power. No video in AUX mode.. Which wire is correct?

I have an 08 G37S

Just an FYI. NavTool.com has highly inflated prices for this interface. Offer them between $170 and $200 and they will accept it.

One night i was looking on their site and they had a monthly special price of $170. The next morning when i went to order it the price had jumped to $340. I asked customer service if this was a mistake and they stated the monthly prices change randomly (even though it was the middle of the month :/) but said they would sell it for $200.

I ended up not purchasing because that seems extremely shady and their product knowledge was quite disappointing. Their website stated that their interface would not enable DVD playback on the systems with built-in NAV. When i asked if it would void the current DVD playback ability the response i got was "So factory units have DVD playback now?"

Only for several years buddy...

Do you have a multimeter (volt meter) handy? If so, you can try this: unplug connector powering taillight (I believe you may need to remove the taillight in order to do this), make sure light switch on steering wheel is off and not on auto, chock the rear tires, turn the car on or start the engine, shift your car into reverse (I feel the need to add this for those dumb enough but do not, I SAY, DO NOT PRESS ON THE ACCELERATOR if you turned on the engine at this point) and test all the leads from the connector with the multimeter. The one giving you 12v is the reverse light wire. Alternatively, you can find this wire in the factory service manual. Splice or tap into that power wire, ground the black wire somewhere on the chassis, plug in yellow wire to camera, plug the other end to the yellow inside the center console. Clean up once you've confirmed it is working and that's it.

well i returned the product because it doesn't work on my car. It is NOT the product's fault by any mean. It is my car. I forgot I had an extra Bluetooth module that is using the AUX connector in the back of my headunit, thus rendering the AUX inputs in the RCA useless for the camera.
