I put my ground wire into the same metal piece that I mounted the amp to and it worked out just fine for me. I used a nut and bolt when I did this too to make sure that the ground wire didn't come loose because that has happened to me before on previous cars.

Also, do you know what length power cable you used? I am trying to use an amp kit from my last installation in my old vehicle which was cut to length for that application. I need to know the required length for the main power lead from the battery to amp. Looking to terminate power cable to my capacitor mounted on the back of the rear seat.

Thanks

Sorry for taking so long I have been MIA with work, the length of the power cord was 12 feet I believe, whatever the length of the cable that comes with the Rockford Fosgate 4 gauge kit.

Also, I'm not sure that it will fit in a 2012 but I imagine it would, the car hasn't really changed at all from 10-12

Would there be any reason to not use
8) Rear Woofer + (SB)(Sky Blue) **Signal from Bose amp
(9) Rear Woofer - (V)(Violet) **Signal from Bose amp
(3) Power/Amp On (GR)(Grey)
Instead of the other wires in the other connector???
I ask because I blew out something & the car will not start any longer. Using the B43 wires.

The main reason why I chose the connections I did was because I tapped into the signal before it was processed by the Bose Amp. Also, my amp can receive high/low inputs as well too.

I'm thinking about doing this as well. I don't want to do any experimenting on components. What sub and amp did you use for this install.

I used an old 12' Alpine Type-R Dual 4 ohm sub that I had from my old car and a kicker 500DX.1 amp.

The sub still hits like a champ and I've had it for about 5 years old surprisingly. Time for me to upgrade that soon though.

Bump... I'd also love to know if the 2010 coupe trunk is the same as the 2012 because I'd like to order the 10" enclosure from customsubenclosures.com for my 2012 coupe. Thanks guys!

I picked up one of those enclosures for my 12 coupe and it fits perfect. The only thing different that I see in the 10 coupe is the Bose amp location. In mine it's in the bottom right of the trunk, not up top as it appears in the OP's pics.

No prob. Check out mine, I installed it over the weekend. I had trouble getting a response after contacting them via email through their website or ebay as well so I just ordered one. They emailed me asking what sub I was using (10" Alpine SWS-1023d) to make sure they make one with enough airspace. They said it should fit a 2012 and they have free returns so I went for it. It sticks out a bit more than I expected but I'm really happy with it.

PS - Check their ebay store and make them an offer of $235, they'll prob accept.

Cheers for that! They accepted my offer of $235... Can't wait! Thank you also for the picture. I was wondering if the cargo net would still work with it and I see that it does... Wouldn't have been a deal breaker, but definitely nice to know beforehand!

Nice! You'll have to post pics when you're done.
