speakers
I have always liked Bose. I have the companion 2 for my computer, a pair of 601's in my living room, and of course, the studio on wheels in the car...
I always wondered why some people, audiophiles mostly, hated Bose speakers.
Well... I listened to Pink Floyd's 'welcome to the machine' yesterday on some Bowers & Wilkins CM series speakers and now I know why.
Ho...lee...sh*t. I swear to you, I closed my eyes and thought I was in a concert hall listening to a live orchestra. Just... wow.

I have always considered Bose the upper end of low end audio. They are fine for most folks but once you really start listening to good equipment you find out real fast the are sub-par. My wife and I went to one of those Bose demos they have at some malls where you go sit in the room. During the demo my wife said to me a bit too loud " that sounds like crap". It was funny as other people were looking at us like she was crazy.

Bad idea, according to him. He says I can probably get by with the Pioneer CD and DVD, but I'll need a better receiver. He recommended Denon or Marantz for something that'd work well without breaking the bank.
I honestly thought I was doing pretty damn good with the Pioneer/Bose setup before I heard the B&W's.
I think the Bose system in my car sucks. They are supposed to be near top of the line audio components, but the Sony head unit and factory speakers on my 02 Tundra sound a lot better in my opinion.
Bose is all hype. I can not wait to upgrade these speakers, HAT L1, L3, L6 and L3 center after my deployment!!!! Back to Bose. Bose sells their name that is also built on a lot of hype. Listen to them compared to ANY midrange (cost wise) speaker and you will see. There is a reason that Bose will not put their speakers next to others in retail centers. Better yet, knock on one of those cubes and then knock on a set of PSB's, paradigms (my personal fav's) , or B&W's and you will notice the cheapness.
have you listened to lexus' mark levenson speakers. holy shiet!!! they are so clean and crisp and the bass is very loud. my dad has it in his lexus and makes our bose sound like sh*** computer speakers
