G37 Door speaker mounting depth - What is it?

Hey guys i have a 2012 G37 Journey and i'm looking to replace the door speakers with some high quality 6.5's but i need to know the max mounting depth I have. anyone?

Or if you got some big magnet door speakers you installed and they fit ,what were the speakers? so i can look up their mounting depth.

im looking to install speakers with these specs

Diameter: 6 1/2” (165mm)
Mounting depth: 3 1/16” (77.3mm)
Voice-coil diameter: 1 9/16” (40mm)
Magnet: 4” (100mm)
TN53K inverted dome

3 1/16" is plenty. There's something like 2 13/16" without the spacers. If you have the 3/4" MDF spacers then that should be enough. This is for the sedan, not the coupe.

correct sedan.

do you think i should get the 1" spacer just to be on the safe side? or if i do that would that mean i have to shave out my grill with a dremmel?

I think you may run into rubbing the front with the 1" spacers. I'd just stick with the 3/4" they'll work just fine. My speakers were right at 3" deep and there's more than 1/16" behind them with the 3/4" spacer.
