2 4 ch. amps?
Hey guys... going to be upgrading my system in the car and have a few questions.... I am getting the "zenclosure box 2 10's" JL 10W6 and powering it with a jl 500/1 amp.
I also wanted to upgrade the amp that come standard in the car and when speaking to the sound system shop he said I would have to buy 2 4 channel amps? One to run the speakers in front and stock "subs" and the other to run the rear speakers?
Has anyone else just replaced the amps in the car ... did they do it this way? Going to leave the stock speakers in for the time being....
Car is 2008 coupe with nave and prem... "studio on wheels"... any help?
Thanks!

I dont think anyone has just upgraded the stock amps and not the speakers... IMO the stock Bose Sound System sucks b@lls... mostly everyone that has done a sound system upgrade either went with just adding a sub, which is what you are donig already... or just going with a full sound system install...
But if you love the way the BOSE sounds, then by all means keep them, you would need to get a signal processor to clean the sound coming out from the player... also keep in mind that your stock speakers was only able to handle so much wattage, and most amplifiers nowadays will over power them... GL with you setup bro !
