Radar Jammer

Searched and couldnt find any threads, correct me if im wrong here..

Going to purchase a Radar Jammer after i get some info here.

Ive heard many mixed things on radar JAMMERS, anyone have one? know how effective it is? and if they become obsolete as new radars are produced? Thanks all

By jammer, do you mean detector? You can't jam a radar signal unless the new 2011 have a sweet radar jamming paint option. You can, however, get one with LASER jamming technology though. My Escort SRX is a radar detector and comes with laser detection and deflection modules. There was a thread around here a while ago that talked about a lot of them.

Basically, the two that people will swear by are the Escort 9500ix ($400-500) and the Valentine 1 ($400-500). Both are strictly radar/laser detectors. If you want the more modern version of my SRX (with laser shifting capability), you'll want the Escort 9500ci (but you'll probably have to shell out ~$1500)

Radar jammers are illegal in the US (dunno about other countries). They are also fairly ineffectual.

I heard if you wrap your car in foil, you'd be undetectable by radars.....

j/k.

As stated above, no such thing as a radar jammer.

In that case, I would recommend the 9500ci if you have the money. Or, find an SRX...if you're on a little budget

Check out RadarRoy for more information on jammers, he does the best reviews online.
According to him, the best jammer out there is the Laser Interceptor.
