Can you still use the intelligent key to open the door or will that set off the viper alarm? In other words, can you still press the handle button to open the door?

Pretty cool...but maybe I'm just not getting it. When you start the car, then get in it, do you have to turn if off then turn it back on before you can drive away? Or do you just have to have the factory fob on your person?

No the alarm is integrated into the factory alarm so everything works like factory. You can still open the door with the buttons on the door and the factory key fob and the viper alarm will not activate. As a matter of fact. You don't really need the viper remote because the factory remote and the buttons on the door will arm and disarm the system. It will also disarm the alarm when the button on the trunk is pressed. Viper has really done a great job integrating the alarm.

I can see how one could be confused. But to answer your question.... No. when you remote start the car all you need to do is press the start button twice to put the ignition in the on position and your off. No need to restart the car.

Thats awesome. Can you tell us which model you are running? Which bypass box did you get? Did you install it yourself or at a shop?

Thanks a lot bro. I'm planning to install the same system. However, I can't figure out how to integrate it to the factory system like yours. Can you try to find out?

The viper 5902 does not have a input wire that would disable the alarm. So i'm wondering how your installer did it.

this is such a great concept but i read so many horrible reviews about the whole integrated system. I heard how it works maybe 25% or less of the time....I dont know if i'm convinced about getting it..But the idea is so awesome.

I love the idea but I want to be able to turn the HVAC system off and on and the rear defogger off and on with my phone. I've seen seperate remote start fobs that will do that but I like this Smart Start idea as it eliminates the need to carry yet another fob around.

Be careful with sending those signals. The top grand theft guys are doing wireless hacking (that can even crack Viper encryption) now waiting for people in parking garages and such to send commands/signals. Which car was that guys that just went into Walmart? The one that beeped. Take the beeps off bro.
Other than that, you look like your from the future of 2020 with that man! Congrats. Should be a lay-up if you pick up a chick with that
