but when you're in a situation with an officer using QT and your 9500 doesnt even warn where as a V1, albeit a weak signal strength, I doubt you would mind the false alerts....
And then there's the redlight cameras where the 9500ix would warn and the V1 wouldn't. Having a GPS on the RD is a must have IMHO. It's also nice for marking those known speed traps you see on the way down for a hassle free trip back. Just took a 5.5 hour trip, man those guys have some nice hiding holes or I should say.. had!
Regarding falses.. we'll in my book I only want to spot LEO's not every door opener and non-LEO in route. You either react to a warning or get desensitized by them. With the 9500ix you can be assured it's worth reacting too or in the case of 1st time X's... marking out so they never bother you again.
does anyone know if these radar detectors can pick up Laser if the cop is lasered a few cars ahead of you?
It all depends on the terrain (going up hill, down hill, etc) but in my experiences it picks it up a few cars ahead. But since they're much more accurate it's not always safe to assume you'll be safe.
