08 G37S and IPhone connection problem

I have an 08 G37 Journey with sport package with navigation and my problem is that when I try to connect my IPhone 3GS to my car using the supplied cord my car doesn't recognize it and I can't play my music using the cars stereo. Is there something I'm not doing right or is there something else I need to do.

I have an 09 but did you press the Aux button on the dash a few times? That should switch to the iPhone. If you can find an iPod, I would definitely try that first. The car will definitely not charge the phone without adapters.

Ipod cable?

Hi Guys,

Sorry, just a noob and picked up an 2008 37s coupe the other day. Loving it so far.

Is there a special ipod cable?

Just wondering because I notice that connection port I've never seen before in the centre console. I thought it was for vehicle diagnostics or something, but maybe that's the one for an ipod?

Thanks.

Yea the one in the console is the ipod connector. You should see ipod option come up after a few clicks of the aux button.
