Imported Contacts From Phone Displayed Backwards?
Hi everyone,
I just recently bought a 2011 G37 and am enjoying it quite a bit but the one small nuance that's bothering me is that when I import my phone contacts to the car, it displays them last name first, and first name last.
It's a bit annoying when I have to use voice command to call someone to have to remember to say their last name first.
Is there any way I can fix this? I'm trying to import from an iPhone 4 and I've tried changing the settings on the phone on how the contacts are displayed and sorted with no luck. Is this just simply a fault with the car and I have to live with it or am I missing some setting or way of importing contacts?
Thanks in advance.

I do not think there is a fix for this. I am curious as well.
Its something as to the way the iPhone stores the numbers. The only other way to fix this is to change all your contacts to have LAST NAME = First name and FIRST NAME = Last name.
Then on your iphone, you can show display as LAST NAME first, and the system will also flip this to the correct direction.

I have the same problem with IPhone 4 and a 2010 G37X. I had the Bluetooth feature in my 2007 G35. Is there a way to get to the Phone Number you want F A S T ....instead of scrolling through all the "stuff". My new car has Navi, the old one did Not.
In an emergency: There should be something more direct. Is there a trick I'm missing? In fact, that's the thing I hate about the IPhone ( a company issue - I would have preferred a New Balckberry, much better busienss phone), there is no easy way to make a call?

I'm feeling the same annoyance with you guys here. Voice commanding by last name takes some getting used to. And to go through quite a few steps to actually make the call is also annoying...

I'm running Windows Mobile (don't tell me, I already know...) and I have the same problem. Looks like it may be a problem with Infiniti's implementation and not just the phones. I, for one, will not be redoing all my contacts names to fix the problem. What a hassle.

I'm also looking for a fix on this for my iPhone 4s. When I had windows mobile it would switch sometime last, first. Sometimes first last. Now with the iPhone it is always last, first.

HA! I've actually gotten so annoyed with this that I've written a custom program to convert the names into First Last. In order to do this, you will need to export your contacts to an Outlook VCF prior to running my utility.
