2010 and iPhone - Any Way to Not Have Switch Audio Upon Connection?
Yes, another iPhone question for the forum to have listed -- sorry.
I just got a 2010 G37x Sedan. I paired my iPhone and it works great (actually the dealer paired it for me). The question I have is whether there is some option to NOT have the Source switch automatically when I plug the iPhone in. I often have my iPhone not connected and then as the battery runs low I connect it. The problem is that when I connect it, the system automatically things I want to use it as an iPod and switches the source on the radio. Any way to not have this happen (other than plugging it in before I start the car)?

I'm wondering this myself as well. I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it. If anyone does, I'd appreciate it. I have a somewhat low-tech solution for this. I have a car->usb adapter left over from my '07. So I just have two cables. One for charging only, and one for when I want to listen to music from it.

Mine actually charges with no problem, etc on the one cable...just an annoyance that it kicks my audio over to iPod/Aux when I plug it in (as opposed to just leaving it on the station I am listening to and just starting to charge the iPhone)

Yup, the 2010 has a generic usb port Although it doesn't work with all devices.
I haven't had any problems charging the iPhone with the USB cable. I just got tired of it switching automatically to it whenever I plugged it in, so used my old car->usb adapter and have a separate cable when I only want to charge the phone and don't want it to automatically interrupt what I'm listening to on the radio.
