JL 12W7 and JL Audio 500/1

I'm a novice when is comes to audio, however I'm looking for a bit more kick. I'm considering the JL 12W7 run by a JL Audio 500/1 amp. Can this set-up be pulled off because from what I'm aware of this sub requires quite a bit of room? Thanks guys.

That's not a bit more of a "kick", that's an earthquake. That setup is going to be extremely loud and will deplete all vocals to the point all you'll hear is bass. It will make your trunk and door panels rattle like crazy.

It will fit in the trunk, but you would have to use a traditional enclosure, nothing vehicle specific like those custom 10" enclosures they have that sit out of the way to the left.

Would a JL 12W6 be a better option?

Get a 10W6. That's what I had and it was more bass than I needed. I had the gain down on my 500/1 amp because it was too loud. It would shake the h3ll out of my mirror. You can also better fit a 10" in the trunk.

Definitely go with a 10". I also have a 10" and it is more than enough.
