Moto Droid Bluetooth

I'm getting a 2010 G37xS shortly and wanted to know if the Droid pairs successfully with the bluetooth. It seemed there was some initial difficulties.
1. Is the sound OK?
2. Does the streaming audio work OK?
3. Do the contacts transfer over?
I've seen some info regarding this but answers seemed to vary.

I work for Verizon Wireless, so I can answer your questions in detail:

1. No

2. No, do you mean streaming music through bluetooth like with Pandora?

3. No

Ironically the Droid sounds somewhat robotic when synced with the car's bluetooth. This seems to be the same case with the newer Nissan models too. The Droid doesn't support bluetooth contact transfer at this time, but they are working on a fix shortly. I personally have not tried the HTC Eris, but everyone I know who has a Motorola Droid (including me) and drive a Nissan / Infiniti have complained of syncing issues.

Thanks for response.

Yes streaming music through bluetooth with Pandora is exactly what I meant.

I thought there were changes in the 2010 G that allowed transfer of contacts and streaming audio. I got mixed messages on other forums and many times they didn't mention what year G they were referring to.
If not the Droid what would you recommend from Verizon that would have the features I mentioned. I hear rumors the iPhone will be sold through Verizon app. June but I get my car in 2 weeks and would like to have new phone. Nexus one? Storm2?

Droid '08 G-37 - no longer connects

Initially, my Droid phone connected well with my 2008 G37. But now it doesn't. The pairing appears to go well with the car screen indicating "Connected with Droid". But there is no connection. The phone shows "MY CAR" as a paired device, but cannot connect to it. Very frustrating. As mentioned on other forums many folks have trouble getting this phone (and others) connected to their Infinity cars. Apparently it relates to non-standard bluetooth software chosen by Nissan/Infinity.

Sorry for the late response, I accidentally turned auto-subscribe off. The Nexus will be available sometime this month on Verizon (so the rumors say). The iPhone isn't coming to Verizon anytime soon. The storm 2 is good, but out of all the options I still prefer the Motorola Droid. Work just gave me the Palm Pre Plus, but I'm not too thrilled about it whatsoever.

Thx Staples. Has Droid upgraded firmware to eliminate the problems you mentioned as of yet? If not I'm starting to lean towards the iPhone since I'm a Mac user and it seems to pair with the G with all features. My wife's phone, who is a light user, recently got a LG phone from Verizon so it may not make sense financially

I have a Nexus One. It sounds great with my 2010. Both A2DP and handsfree profiles.

I have the original droid, and the bluetooth does connect every time. The phonebook will not download, but I can have hands-free conversations. There are some problems with sound, but there is a work-around: switch to the hand-held option, hit speaker button on phone, then hit the phone button on the car console to go back to the hands-free. The sound will improve at that point.

I have found myself just going with relying on the microphone on the phone. I seem to be heard, and I can hear the caller over my speakers.
