Navigation

There are no infiniti dealers in my province, so if I buy out of province with navigation will I not have the maps for my province/therefore the navi would be pointless? Never had it before, so I thought I would ask how this works.

Navigation only works for 5 mile radius from the location of purchase.

J/k. It works for whole North America (assuming you're from Canada).

You program in the region that you are in, into the Nav system when you are in the car. I live in the pacific northwest. If I were to drive to the East coast, I would have to change my nav region at least 3 times. But it's all in the system, I think it's a loading issue with the size of the data.

Thanks guys, I just know my friends father bought a bmw in another province and had to get map cds for his province or something, so that's why I asked. So the tech pack gives me rear view camera and lane departure warning system? only the m35 has blind spot warnign correct? What is this 4 wheels teering thing? is that only on the 2010?

Really? I never noticed that. Where in the navigation menu do you see that?

It's only on the coupe.

It’s really quite easy in the coupe. Just press the DEST button and first selection on the upper left, already indicating the current region, is the Change Region menu.

They used to offer it on the "S" sedan... back in 07 at least.

As an aside, if you have any other questions here's a site with a PDF download of the owners manual. Of course feel free to ask here too, but I figured I'd post this. It's for a 2009, but the 2010 shouldn't be too different:

Free Download 2009 Infiniti G37 Owners Manual.pdf » OnlineFreeEBooks.net « the most imitated free ebook site

I can't remember exactly either you push the DEST button or the MAP button.. I do have the 2010 so that might be some of it.

Some Navigation systems in the past (Not sure of cars involved) used to have region specific disc's. In some cases in the USA if I recall correctly it was like East, Central, West and would have to changed out the disc. I would hope no one is using it now days like that and hopefully all have gone to HD or DVD based nav's

I know Honda/Acura still use a DVD-based Pioneer navigation system.

In my G37S built 9/09 you don't have to physically change anything, but you do have to change the focus of the searches by picking a region in the upper left of the 'destination' window.
