Aftermarket GPS in-dash?

Hello all,
New here...decided to sign up after lurking for awhile...this forum is an invaluable resource. Anyways, had a question...I'm wondering if there are any portable GPS units with an A/V out plug that you could plug into the RCA jacks in the center console..then theoretically, with the video outputted to the in-dash screen, you would have GPS...obviously you'd have to have the video working while you are driving. Any thoughts? Thanks all

Even if you could get the display on the dash to work while driving you would still have to make all of your GPS inputs to the GPS unit tied into the video cables. So what's the point

I don't think it's very practical at all for the reasons Chi-Town stated.

Technically wouldn't the car need to be in Park + Ebrake to get this A/V onto the screen in the first place.. thereby defeating the purpose of a GPS since you are going, nowhere? Easiest thing to do is install and entire new head unit.

um...way too much..hahaha...not sure of the exact price, but considering you have to buy a new nav radio w/ controls, new steering wheel, wiring harnesses, gps antenna, rear view camera, etc etc etc....it'll probably be double the price of what infiniti charges for it to come standard on the vehicle...keep in mind u gotta pay someone to install all that too...
