Compact Flash, randomization & steering wheel controls

I seem to be having a problem with my steering wheel controls when listening to MP3s off a Compact Flash card.

Short version: In "1 CF CARD RDM" mode, when I press down on the selector on the steering wheel, it changes modes to "1 CF CARD RPT" mode, and jumps to the first song in the next folder. I expect it to just jump to the next random song on the CF card.

Long version: I have an 09 AWD Coupe. When I listen to a CD with MP3s, Music Box or iPod in random mode, the down lever on the left side of the steering wheel jumps me to the next random song, just like pressing the "track down" button. I got a CF card yesterday and put 250 songs into each of 2 folders for a total of 500 songs. If I'm listening to the card in "1 CF CARD RDM" mode" and press the "track down" button on the radio, it jumps to the next random song on the card, maybe or maybe not in the other folder. It works exactly how I'd expect it to. However, if I press down the "tuning switch" on the left of the steering wheel, it changes modes from "1 CF CARD RDM" to "1 CF CARD RPT" and jumps to the first song in the next folder. Continuing to press down jumps to the first song in next folder. This isn't how the manual says it should work (pages 4-57 and 4-46).

Is anyone else experiencing this? Is my switch or whatever bad? Or do they all work like this?

Thanks

Does anybody out there have a CF card that they can try this with? I'd really like to know if it's my car or just buggy software.

Thanks

make sure u are in menu screen of songs not in folders menu of cf card. otherwises, next track button will jump to next folder's first song no matter whichever mode is.

PS: most stupid tricky thing is even u in songs menu, it will change back to folder menu whenever ur rear view camera show up while u backup ur car.
