Well I have 6 month old Optima Redtop from my old car and I had never had a luxory car before... So i was wondering if it would be better to leave the stock infiniti battery in there or to put the Redtop in there?

Any help is appreciated!!!
thanks

If you're going to put a system in I'd say drop the Optima in otherwise, I see no point, no real benefit from it IMO, Infiniti battery lasted in my car for over 2 1/2 years, no dead battery even with 2 12"s.

well i do plan on a system... I have a small 500-600 watt system on the way right now... This is until I do my fiberglass trunk with alot more watts...
I just didnt know if the Infiniti Batteries were Hi grade or anything like that....
I mean ..... logically id think the Optima is > then OEM bat.

Ya, I see no benefit unless you are putting in a system. Having a better battery right now is not going to do anything for your car that I know of. Stick with the OEM. Aftermarket Suppliers/Developers, take note, you are now forcing the G37 community to upgrade their car batteries (so we can upgrade something) because you are not releasing enough parts so we can upgrade. j/k.

Many people are posting from Driver and other Nissan forums of their G35/350Z batteries lasting up til about now (from '03) so that's a good four years on a stock battery. Pretty good IMO. Also some people say they've gotten pro-rated deals when swapping out old batteries from Infiniti.
I can't seem to find the spec for the OEM battery but fill the battery fluid levels up every couple of months, should last you for a while. A 500-600watt system doesn't really need additional power supplies but if ya have it sitting around, might as well drop it in!

optima's are tight. i would put it in but it will probably weigh more. if you can sell it and get a Braille battery that would be sick!! the braille is super light. that is why i said it.

In my previous vehicles (Nissan, Mazda, Toyota) the OEM batteries would last about 3.5 years in SoCal temps. The red top Optima lasted a total of 7.5 years, 3 years in SoCal heat and 4.5 in colder TN climate. When it stated to fail I replaced with the Exide Orbital which is more expensive but better battery. Downside with the Optima's is that the voltage output is slightly lower than a lead acid battery. Upside is when they fail, they do so slowly not leaving you stranded versus a lead acid gives up the ghost very quickly.
