That's pretty sweet. Since your car has none of the packages, does it still come with the screen? Also, do the doors still have the enclosures for the component system or do they replace it with standard stereo ( 1 speaker each door ) setup? I'm probably getting prem anyway, since just about every coupe in the US has one and I'm not in the mood to order and wait forever.
I found the Bose system severely lacking compared to the $1800 stereo system I had in my Accord, so theres no way spending $3300 was going to be justified on...whats in there besides the Bose....ah yes the powered rear view mirror.
I could really go for that powered mirror though to mount a V1. Anyone know if it's possible to add on?
Heres a pic:

When I buy a car I'm buying it for me, not for the next person. I also tend to drive a car for 4-6 years, so that far in the future there will be much more advanced Nav systems on the market anyway.

Since your car doesnt have any packages to it, does it have a moonroof in it?
Back on topic- my last 2 cars have had nav and i would never buy one without. From what I've seen in the G, the NAV is worth every penny!

Just my opinion. That far in the future, $14,000 KIAs are going to be coming standard with integrated Nav and your car will look very dated and underequipped for the money you'll be trying to recover. Sentras already have bluetooth phone available, too... in 4 years it will be standard in every car.
I buy a car for me too, and I love the navi, but from a financial point of view, it is my opinion it's a good idea to get the navi on modern luxury cars so that you have some marketability when you go to move onto your next car.
To each his own, tho.

For the price... the nav simply isn't worth it. Sure not many people (or no one) has successfully integrated a double din unit in place of the screen yet... but I'm willing to bet it'll be done sometime.
I regretted not getting the Nav in my Z at first... but now that I have a Kenwood in place of the OEM HU, I'm thankful I didn't waste my money on the craptastic OEM nav from Nissan.
I'll just wait until I can successfully put a Kenwood in my G37, then again I'll be thankful for not shelling out the thousands of dollars for a sub-par navigation system from the factory.

I'm kind of concerned what happens in a few years when the internal HD dies that has all the nav info. Maybe by that time someone will have hacked it and made it easily replaceable, but who knows.
I just plan to keep my car for a long time and know that HD won't be spinning forever.

The nav/voice commands and other stuff is stored on here. Basically all the software controlling the Nav package.
I doubt it would be cheaply replaced unless someone figures out how to 1) take the HD out and image it, and 2) find a suitable HD to replace it.
I doubt it's plug and play, and they have some proprietary stuff to make sure we can't just plug in whatever we want.
Time will tell!
