I have it. It's ok. I like the fact that it has voice activation and the birdview angles. But Iike the Pioneer AVIC in my other vehicle better as regards user interface.

Ok, I'm about to buy my car but I'm not sure I want to spend the extra moola and get the navi. It'll put me around 760/mo for a 3.9% 60mo loan, which is slightly uncomfortable to me, although I can afford it.

Question is, does the navigation unit allow you the ability to take a standard usb flash drive (2,4,8gb, etc ) with mp3/wma on it and simply plug it in and listen to music off of it? If the car can do it, does it need the navi package to do it or is it standard with the premium (I know the navi lets you have a 9.3gb hd, but I want to know if you can expand that by using a usb flash drive, and in turn, maybe a 500gb usb external harddrive....oh yeah )

I couldn't justify the $5500 the Navigation pack would have cost me. The Prem. pack is nothing but the Blose speakers I'd throw in the trash, so I'm very happy with my $300 Garmin and large pile of cash to spend on aftermarket parts that matter.

I'm fairly certain one of the mods I'm going to do with my car is install a sweet computer system for the front display, and maybe replace the front display with a higher res one, but thats a topic for another thread and day I guess. Man, I could save oodles if I found a blue slate with no prem/no nav, and although I agree with you on bose being ****, I've always had issues where afttermarket speakers didn't seem to produce the same fullness of sound as the speakers designed for the enclosure. However, I had cheap cars back in the day so that might have been it. (I wasn't buying cheap audio either, infinity perfect component fronts and rears with 2 seperate amps one for subs one for the mids/high).

Aren't Blue Slate/Athens Blue, sport, no nav/tech/prem but with a spoiler very rare to see on the lot?

They make 16GB compact flash cards, so does the car have the reader where I can just plop one in with mp3's and go?

yup, when you get the navigation package it adds a compact flash slot to the dash which can be used to play mp3s. i think there was some sort of a limit to how many files it can read from a card, though. can't remember what that limit was, i'm sure someone else could tell you

When I got the car last month, there was not a single Athens Blue Sport in the country with neither package. Mine was one of two blue slates with neither. There were 3-5 Platinums I saw and I think a red. That was it. Trust me, I went through every dealer website in the United States.

The dealer said my car was one of 6 Sport cars with neither package regardless of paint color in the Eastern US and the only Blue Slate.

I do not have a spoiler, but I'll be getting one as soon as the OEM addon spoilers are released.

I would definately have preferred getting Athens Blue though, but it just wasnt there and I had to have a car that week as I...broke...my Accord.

That's pretty sweet. Since your car has none of the packages, does it still come with the screen? Also, do the doors still have the enclosures for the component system or do they replace it with standard stereo ( 1 speaker each door ) setup? I'm probably getting prem anyway, since just about every coupe in the US has one and I'm not in the mood to order and wait forever.
