Compact Flash

I am not very technically advanced and was hoping someone could give me some advice. I have the convertible and want to burn music on a CF card but I'm not sure what the best way to do this is. I have an iPod and iTunes on my computer but I'm not sure if the iTunes music format is compatible for the CF slot in the car. Should I do this with Windows Media Player and if so, how then do I import the iTunes music into the Media Player? Thanks in advance.

the songs you already have on your pc are already in say, mp3 format....go to where your itunes songs are stored, usually s/t like mymusic/itunes/itunes liabrary, and click and drag the songs you want directly on to the flash card. insert in car and enjoy. you can also click and drag them directly from itunes liabrary (actual itunes program running)

Songs bought from iTunes are not MP3, they are AAC format.

If you actually bought songs from iTunes, you'll need to burn them onto a CD as a music CD, and then import them from the CD to MP3s (iTunes gives you the option of what you'd like to import it as). If it's a MIX CD, you won't be able to get information on the songs from the CD database, so you'll need to give them titles and artists manually.

Hope that makes sense.

I just got my vert yesterday, and spent hours going through the manual, etc, but I couldn't find if there is a maximum capacity of compactflash cards, like supports up to 8gb or 16gb or whatever. does anyone know?

512 song limit...therefore estimate no need for anything greater than 4 GB...
