Offset advice

Hey! i’m looking to get work miesters three peice. 19 inch wheels, 9.5 diameter in the front and 10.5 in the back. it seems like 22 offset is a popular choice, however i’m wondering if anyone knows what kind of fitment an offset of 24 in the front and 23 in the back would give. I want to avoid rubbing and having to roll fenders. I’m looking for a flush look with the tiniest bit of poke but more flush. I’m lowever on BC coils btw. if anyone has these offsets and wheel specs, feel free to drop any pictures or let me know your opionion. (doesn’t have to be work wheels)

do you have a coupe or sedan? coupes have bigger rear wheel wells.

the difference in offset between a +22, +23, and +24 is very small and not even noticeable. so any example you see with a +22 would be the same with a +23 offset.

10.5 +23 will need some camber to fit. look at any g37 running rear 370z Nismo wheels and that's a 19x10.5 +23 spec.

@projectpanda13 what offset for 10.5s would put the face flush or near flush in the rear of a sedan? My calcs were showing like 59mm...

+59 offst would be hitting suspension components. I had a 10.5 +60 and need a spacer for clearance.
10.5 +40s would be a good spec in the rear with some 275.

Here is a guy with 10.5 +43 and 285 in the rear

I currently have sport 19s on the sedan and the back wheel is mostly flush. Looks like 10.5 +43 or so would work. I'm currently running 275 rears but I do NOT want to stretch tires to fit... I'm guessing an extra 1.5" width I 'd need to go to 295 or wider to work.

Alternately - looks like the Nismo 370Z fronts (19x9.5 x 40) might work if I'm willing to go to a square setup. Personally I like the staggered look, but availability in useful sizes is becoming an apparent problem unless I go back down to 18s.

Speaking from personal experience with Work wheels and a staggered setup (for coupes, if that's what you have).

TLDR: If you want to run a staggered setup with even front-to-rear fitment, get slightly higher offset rear wheels. For easy calculation: for every 1/2" increase in wheel width you are pushing the wheel out by 6 mm (equivalent to 1/4"). On that note, in a perfect scenario where(or if you can get lucky choosing offsets) the front wheels and rear wheels should have around a 12mm offset difference for perfect front-to-rear even fitment, using a 9.5f and 10.5r staggered setup. BUT- that doesn’t take fender clearance and reality into account. 9.5 +18 to +25 up front, 10.5 +30 to +35 rear looks best in reality, for flush fitment with very minor poke.

I ran 19x9.5 +23 fronts and 19x10.5 +23 rears first on my coupe. The rears will poke out from the body a few more MM when comparing to the fronts with these specs. I will try to find an old picture of my setup showing the difference, but it's definitely noticeable. I was running 245/40 front and 275/30 rear tires which stretched a hair more on the rears also. The tires are within OEM OD specs, but the front tires are slightly taller with this setup.

I swapped the 19x10.5 +23 rears to 19x10.5 +30 rears and the fitment is almost perfectly flush and even now, front to rear. So if you are running a staggered 9.5/10.5 setup, I would definitely recommend going with a slightly higher offset in the rear to accommodate the wider rear wheel for an even front-to-rear fitment. I also switched to a 285/35 tire for the 10.5 wheels. This made the OD a mm or so taller than the 275/35 I previously had, and resulted in a less stretched look. This also results in more even tire wear, since the G37S coupe is RWD. If they made my wheels in a lower offset for the 9.5” fronts, I would have gone lower with the offset option but +23 was the lowest option so that’s what I went with. I might add 5-10mm spacers to the front later.
