Stock 19s Max Tire size??

Hey guys, I tried looking around but I need a quick answer. I've got a 2012 G37s with the stock 19 enkies and was wondering what's the widest tire I can go on the rear? I've got no spacers or coils. Completely stock. And I've got 225 45 on the front atm. Thanks!

255 are the widest I've seen anyone go with the stock sport rims, even with spacers.

I've run a 245/40/19 on the front and 275/35/19 on the stock coupe rears. It will depend on the tire you run (some run wider than others), but they fit fine, if a bit bulged.

most say 275 is the max on the rears but have been running 285s for a few years.

It will also depend on how you want it to look (some say 285 is "bulgy" some say anything above 245 doesn't have enough stretch....

It will also depend on the specific tire, I've come across more than a half inch variance in tread width on the exact same size/ratio tires depending on the specific model and brand of the tire..check the tire specs fore example:

Pilot super sport 275/35/19 = 9.5in tread width and Pilot sport 4s 275/35/19 = 9.7 (or 9.8) in tread width

+1

I've been running these sizes for 3+ years, lowered on Swift springs with no issues.

Tire Rack lists manufacturer's recommended wheel size for each tire. Find a tire you think might fit then check that spec. For Enkei 19s, 245 is about optimum up front for sidewall stiffness and contact patch while 285 is about as wide as I would run in the rear.

For me, it's about contact patch. Looks are for hard parkers.
