Is this stagger okay?

Just picked up a 2010 G37 coupe after being stuck in a Focus for two years. God, its good to be back in a Nissan. My buddy just gave me a pair of 275/40R18 Potenza's. Will that pair well with my stock 225/50R18's on the front? It's a difference of .2" height wise and .07% for the diameter. My rear tires are completely bald. I would be getting a new pair of fronts relatively soon after I do the rears. So I could upgrade to a better suiting tire size in the front. Any advice is appreciated!

It should be okay, since like you said there isn't much variance between the two sizes in terms of diameter. However the fronts are very narrow compared to the rears, I'm not sure if that will cause any problems with handling. If you are getting new tires for the front I would go with 245/45/18.
