Suggestions on new tires?

I've had my g37 Since 2008 when it came out and I put iforged 20s on it with Yokohama s drives. My tires are now needing to be replaced, what are the "best" performance/overall tires now a days? A few local places have mentioned nitto 555 or hankook ventus evo2, are these good ones or which do you recommend?

Thanks!

I believe those are very expensive, what are your opinions on the tires I've mentioned?

Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position is generally considered the 2nd best tire behind the Michelin and is slightly cheaper.

You asked for best, we offered. The Nitto and Hankook are not at the same level.

Depends on what you want from your tires. The Max performance summers Which the Hankook Ventus Evos are would be a good step up from most Ultra High Performance Summers, but the Pilot Super Sports and the Pole Positions are at the top of that category. Kumho Ecsta & BFG Sport Comp2 would be similar to the Hankooks in price and performance, and the Continental DW would be just below the Pole Positions. The Hankooks have a nice $100 rebate right now so if your budget is tight that would be something to consider.

Best bang for the buck is Hankook's V12 EVO2. That's a very popular option for a great tire on a budget. I'd also look at the BFG Sport Comp-2 for a tad longer life and little better ride.

If the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec is available in your size, you should look at that, too. Really nice tire.

As others have said, if you want the best, the Super Sports are what you are looking for.

If cost is a factor, there are other quality options out there, like Nitto/Hankook etc etc

I think the "best" tires are RE71Rs, R888s, or NT05rs - but this category is for those who are looking for maximum grip (basically R compound with grooves to be street legal). I have RE71Rs and after a few thousand miles and two full track days I will have to replace them fairly soon.

The next category would be the street tires that have been mentioned: Pilot Super Sport & Pole Positions leading followed by Continental DW, BFG Sport Comp-2, Kumho Ecsta SPT, Hankook Evo2, etc.
