2009 G37 coupe seat, back up camera and navi question

Hi,

My 2009 non navi, no back up camera S coupe got broken into last week

While the car is in the shop getting new seat, new screen, some internal trim piece and a new door (quoted $6k), i thought i may as well inquire how much they would charge me in the case i want to get back up camera and/or navi

Shop talked to the dealer and the quote came back, with OEM option, its an extra 7.5k.....

Q1) does the quote sounds about right? i understand they need to change the head unit for the navi, wiring, also my trunk lid does not have the camera opening

Q2) many may have asked, whats my best route to get back up camera? (mine is the 2009 model so it only have the RCA input for video option)

Q3). Actually, is it possible to get after market head unit for G37? any pointer? my priority: back up camera, then navi.

thanks

thanks man, didnt know there is complete replacement aftermarket kit!

however with all respect, this kit looks super cheap haha, if i were to choose from this or stay with my oem without camera and nav, i would probably go with the later

Wow, you could find a complete OEM replacement system online and install it for MUCH cheaper than $7.5k..

I think what the dealer says is that since the wiring all needs to be replaced - can that be done DIY? Or better leave it to the professionals?

Yeah you'll likely need an entire harness. Would be pretty intrusive work..

I wouldn’t trust an aftermarket kit where they can’t even spell the car’s name correctly.

hahahha dude you're gonna be fine without the back up camera - Use your smart phone for navigation

You can use the 7.5k to install the stillen supercharger. Priorities LOL

Sell your car and add much less than $7.5k on top and you can have it all...
