New tires and wheels

I am currently on the market to get some new wheels for my car and I chose the Work Emotion CR Ultimate wheels. but I am stuck between the Toyo T1 sport tires and the Michellin PSS. The wheel guy says the Toyos are pretty much as good as the PSS's but I'm not sure. I currently have PSS's on my car but since I am going with a wider wheel it would be more expensive.

any suggestions?

I came from the PSS and I'm now currently running Toyo T1 Sports.

However, I went from 245 to 285 in the rear, and 19" to 20".
I love everything about the tire, but I wish it had more grip. It's a nice ride, decently quiet, has 0 issues with wet pavement or pouring rain. But it didn't give me the amount if traction I was looking for. But everything else about them is great!
Also the larger wheels and wider tires really slowed my car down. But I refuse to go back to 19's as they just look too small on the G.

But I'm considering going with Nitto Invo's next... Wanted re11s but don't see any in 20"

Edit: I'm over all very happy with the tire, and the only time I have traction issues with the tires is from a dead stop.

Thanks,Sway, for the feedback.

I'm laying a bit of ground work for summer tires and it's nice to have options other than the PSS.

I'm looking at 19", 235/40s F and 275/35s R on 9" and 10" wheels. I have an X so I have to be careful.

Yeah, a staggered setup on a x is tricky. If you don't drive super aggressive the Toyo's should be great for a dd. Also keep in mind I have 4.08s so you may not have the same launching issues I do.

I'm staying with the 19s, but what kind of traction issues do you have? because my PSS's right now just hug the road like no other.

Thanks. I looked into the Toyos and that combo is a special order from many vendors, whereas the PSS and S-04s are in stock. But...I do have time before spring.

I'm following on the thread: https://www.myg37.com/forums/wheels-...ggestions.html where there's a bit more detail on the options.

(Plus I gotta get some wheels first - lightweight, forged - before I settle on biscuits.)

Not having owned the T1 Sports it's nice to get a longer term review, thanks Sway!
Don't forget the BFG SportComp2, they get nice reviews

Also the Nitto n555G2 just came out, should be a nice option too

My friend owns a lot of land and has a road that literally goes nowhere, so we go out there and run sometimes. It's obviously not a prepped track. So launching I wish it had more grip. But once they grab they don't let go! So for driving in the streets the tire is great. But for track days I'd want to go with something grippier more than likely. And as I stated before I do have 4.08 gears so that'll change it a lot. With 19's you'll have a taller sidewall too more than likely so that'll be in your favor as well.

I considered those, but most of the reviews said they're very loud and don't rude well... And in 20" they only come in 285 and 315... So I couldn't run them on all 4. If I had a separate set of wheels for track days/weekends at my friends lot this would be my top choice I think! But I want something I can use everyday... I was thinking about Nitto Invo's actually... Any experience with those?

Invos get decent reviews, and are better in the rain than the NT555s, they don't have a real deep tread so the tread life is shortened somewhat. Expect about 20k from them.

Any update? What tires did you get? Need tires soon and I'm thinking of getting the T1 Sports or the Invo's. I'm also planning to upgrade my rims with Motegi rims particularly the mr126.

If you have the base brakes you might look at Miro 111s, the 19x9.5 on 245/40/19 would be a nice square setup, if you have the big Akebono sport brakes you'd have to confirm fitment
