New tires

I'm wanting to swap out the 225s for 245s while keeping the stock 18" duckfeet...I want to keep the setup square as well, so would 245/45/18 be the best fit? or any others?

Since you have the 7.5" width wheels 245s will be a pinch mount which results in some sidewall roll under heavy cornering, just a heads up.

you think 235s would be a better option?

235 would be the maximum you could mount on it, but still is more than ideal. If you want to use the stock wheels and get better grip, I'd recommend a better performing tire over a wider one.

Aren't the stock 18's 8" wide? I've been researching wider tires too and thought I saw somewhere my x coupe wheels are 8" wide. Maybe different years or sedans are 7.5". I'm still new and learning tho. I'm interested in what size tires you go with.

Yeah, the base coupe 18s are 18x8, the 18" AWD sedan wheels are 18x7.5, the 8" wide wheels you can run a 245/45/18 as the max although a 235/50 would be a better mount.

I have the same wheels and just replaced the worn RE050As with Pilot Super Sports, same size as stock.

The ride/handling is MUCH better, less noise, even quelled many of the vibrations in the interior. Even great in the rain. Wish I would have bought these sooner.

Like you, I tried to go through all of the permutations of larger tires, but ended up with the stock size as that's what was available for an excellent price in the PSS. Costco had the best price, and there was a $70 off 4 instant rebate.

Have your cake and eat it too...great tire.

I replaced the RE050 with Potenza S-04 Pole Position. Also quieter, softer and grippier.
