Help: Tire light
I guys ,
Ok I'm not a ****, LOL but my TPS will not turn off? I checked it I had the dealer check it and there is 35 PSI is all 4 wheels they rest the light two days ago and it came right back on the next morning, I check the tires again last night and they still have 35 PSI in them. It original came on last week ( 9 Days ago) They were all at 32.5 I filled them to 35 and its never gone off since then? Total I have drive over 100 miles? Can I have a bad TPS? I thought it one was bad it would blink constantly? Thank you
BTW I use a digital pressure gauge and batt is brand new

Nothing wrong with having a shop check, but if you have an air compressor and 10 minutes you can DIY reset / relearn the TPM system. Fruitless if you do have a dead sensor battery, but seems like it'd be a premature failure.

Could tpms sensors been engineered with some form of pendulum internally which would cause rotational energy to be converted to electrical via magnets and copper coils?
Kinda like an automatic (kinetic) wrist watch. Not the spring driven versions, the quartz versions.
The spinning of the tire, creates all the electricity needed to run the tpms. You'd probably need a small storage cell to keep a little juice to help regulate and deliver consistent power.

It blinks on start up then goes solid. The dealer reset it after rechecking the Tire pressure and the light came back on the next morning driving to work.
I have a compressor at home.

since you're located in Mass, make sure your tire pressure is set to the correct pressure in the morning while it is still completely cold BEFORE you drive it. It is possible that it is cold enough there that the pressure dropped significantly overnight (due to cooling) after the dealer had filled it to spec.

For example, let's say someone were too lazy to get their winter wheels scanned last December... Umm. Yeah.
ANMVQ, it's probably the battery in one of the sensors. As to *which* one, the only way you can find that out (I think) is to get them all re-scanned. Maybe you should ask a reputable tire shop about this, and not so much the dealership. I believe there are more than one sensor calibration tools out there, with different iterations of various models. In other words, for this particular issue I'd be more inclined to trust a good tire shop than the dealership.

Thanx man, I have checked it hot ,cold LOL its still with in the proper range setting. I will have a tire shop check it out
