G35 vs. G37 19" Tire Questions

My dad is selling his 2005 G35 that has the 19" wheel option. He just got the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires in 225/40ZR19 for the front and 245/40ZR19 in the back.

I assume these tires will fit my 2011 G37 with the 19" sport wheels, correct? The current tires on my g37 are 225/45 up front. The 40 series isn't an issue, right?

Ideally they should be 45s in front but since you have a RWD it won't be that big of a deal, you'll be about 2.6% off front to back in diameter variance which isn't great but within the 3% range for RWDs. I'd for sure get the 45 in front when the tires need to be replaced.

Interesting.

tirerack.com recommends 40 series on back and front for the 05 G35 and 45 series front/40 series rears for the G37.

Any reasons why?

The 45/40 combo keeps the diameters real close, it may have to do w/ the traction control systems but not sure why the difference in the 05 G35 and the current G37

Think I should just stick with the tires I have (225/45 front/245/40 rears)?
