Wheelset Recommendations for Balance and Performance

I haven't seen many threads here that focus on getting wheels tuned with balance, performance, and driving pleasure in mind. Is there anyone else here who shares a similar mindset as myself? I would love to hear any suggestions!

I drive a G37S sedan and it has an excellent balance between control, performance, road feel, and daily drivability. It goes without saying that any deviation from stock will lead to a compromise. For example, a lighter wheelset sacrifices ruggedness and impacts the dd-ability.

I'm interested in pinpointing a good set of wheels for good weather and occasional track duty:
Wider rims than stock will increase grip.
Same offset as stock will maintain the moment arm in the suspension geometry.
Maintaining the stagger ratio will retain balance.
Smaller (in diameter) and lighter wheels will increase responsiveness.

Any suggestions for what to run in such a setup while keeping all else stock?

Thanks everyone!
