Problem with my rear right tire

Sup fellas,

I'm having a problem with my rear right tire. I took it to a shop and they took it off to inspect it and they found a nail, so they removed the nail, plugged the hole and filled up the tire again. Few days later the alert showed up on my car that the tire pressure was low so I brought it back and he took it off again and sprayed it with soapy water all over and on the rim to check for leaks and they didn't find anything. He checked the plug to make sure it's fine as it was. He put it back on filled it up again and this time in less than 24 hour the tire lost air again.
I'm not sure what the problem could be. I don't see any dents or cracks in the rim but I only checked with the tire on the car. Any ideas what it could be? If on the off chance it is the rim, what are my options? Can it be repaired? How much would a new rim cost? (2012 g vert)

Thanks for your input

Spray some soapy water on the top of the stem where you put the air in. Sometimes when air is put in, it can damage that little pin. If it is the little valve in the stem, it's as easy as tightening the little valve in there with a valve tool, or replacing the little valve.

There's a good chance that may be your problem. I'd hold off on saying its the rim because chances are it isn't.

Have them take it off and put it in a tub of water (or do it yourself). The leak is wherever the bubbles are coming from.

I think Rad_Slinger nailed it - its likely the valve but as BB said - dunk it in water - the bubbles never lie!

<flame suit on>
And, I would never plug a high performance tire - always use a patch!

This is the way they should have done it. Spraying soapy water is a half a** way of doing things.

Turns out there was a tiny hole on the side of the tire. Very small. Found it by putting it in a tub of water. Looks like I have to replace the tire.
