It will be indicated in the tire's service description. For instance, after the size it would say 94H or 94V, the alpha part of that would be the tire's speed rating.

I was just wondering if anyone knows the best way to get tires in Canada? I'm seeing the prices listed in this thread and I'm pretty jealous. I was looking at the A/S 3's but it will cost me ~$1400 shipped from tirerack.

 

Any updates on how the Pilot Sport A/S 3 performs in the snow?

 

We had our first dusting of snow and the Pilot Sport A/S 3s were solid. These tires outperform any other A/S tire in the dry and outperform the OEM Summer Bridgestones by a large margin

 

I'm in the market for replacement tires on my 2009 G37 Journey w/18' wheels. I noticed on your web site (under Tire Survey Results) that the Hankook Ventas S1s were the number one rated (overall) AS Ultra High Performance tire. Beat out the Michelin's, Conti's, etc.

Am looking for more feedback from members that have purchased these tires. Mostly a Michelin tire guy in the past.

 

It's hard to get a real gauge for brand new tires on the market. They almost always rise to the top of the chart then over time gradually settle into a spot/level they actually perform at. A tire's true colors will pop when there's about half million miles are reported. It was the top performer of the tires in our test, and I expect good things as the brand in general is making some great stuff for the money. However, I wouldn't expect them to stay as the #1 overall. Then again... I've been surprised before.

 

Still looking at A/S replacement tires for my 2009 Journey (18" wheels). Have narrowed it down now to Michelin AS3's and Hankook Ventus S1's. Have priced them and they appear to be roughly equal in price (installed). I've been using Michelin's mostly in the past and been satisfied. Most important to me is having a quiet tire, second important handling, w/AS flexibility. Given the two choices, which might tire might you recommend? They spec out the same with different tire patterns and rubber compounds, with probably the same tire life.

 

Any update? I am looking at these for my 09 G37X as well.
