Tire Pressure System

Does the tire pressure system in 2012 g37x tell you the tire pressure for each tire on the screen? My dads Caddy and bros bmw 335 tell the tire pressure for each tire. Wondering if infiniti does the same

No it doesn't, just when the tires are very low a little symbol appears on the instrument cluster.

couple of quirks like that really strike me as being less than what one should expect from a car like this. not only pressure in each tire, but the ability to easily reset the pressures and also to be able to have 2 sets of wheels.

I was surprised to find this out too.
My FX showed the individual air pressure for each tire...the only problem was that it didn't tell you which tire was which.
Still better than nothing with just a warning light!

They cheaped out on the display, I believe.

I think the body control module does in fact have the pressure information, the display just doesnt show it. There is a product called Auto Enginuity that can access the BCM and I believe they list tire pressure as one of the parameters available on the G

I agree it would be nice to know WHICH tire is low, but on the flipside if the TPMS light comes on you should be checking all 4 tires anyway.

The earlier Z's had this...my '06 had it. My memory on this topic is a little foggy, but I believe there were accuracy issues and/or customer support issues.
And lets not forget that many people would simply get confused with too much information. I could imagine a bunch of phone calls like: 'the display said 29lbs, but I drove to the gas station to put air in my tires and then it said 32lbs'.

2010 M35 has individual tire pressure display too.

2013 Altima beeps the horn when you're putting air in the tires and it reaches proper pressure. I prefer that little trick.

I have my pressure gauge that I believe is more accurate than onboarding sensors. This kind of system is a waste anyway if you check your tires once in a couple months, unless it auto inflates the tires when low pressure is detected.

I read it somewhere it was somehow government mandate, another reason why government should stay away from our life.

I thought that was a pretty cool feature when I saw the commercial. But all of the gas stations by me are starting to switch their air pumps to ones that you set what psi you want it to, inflating or deflating, and it automatically cuts off when it reaches it.

Still, its a cool feature to have when those pumps arent available.
