Best winter tire for the rwd g37 coupe

Hi Guys,

I live in Montreal Canada and during winter we get a lot of snow. I am going to drive my G37 in winter for the first time and id like to know what is the best winter tire for the coupe rwd?

Thanks!

Haven't had the experieince of driving the G in the winter yet but have had experience with the Michelin Xi2 on previous car and they were excellent in snow. I've purchased a set of (4) 225/50R-18 Michelin X-Ice Xi2 and 18" rims for this winter.

No issues with the same size all around when the car originally had a staggered setup?

I have the G37S model. i ordered the michelin xice xi2 but i just read some review saying that in deep snow they were really bad and also when there snow mixed with water. In Montreal we get a lot of snow between 5 inch and 1 foot of snow so i really need to be sure that the xice xi2 will do the job for the car. I also heard about the Hankook ipike w409. anyone ever tried those tire over here?

Thumbs up

In Halifax we don't get near as much snow as you guys do, but I have been using Blizzaks for about 15 years and they are GREAT. Mine go back on Thursday morning for another winter.

Ask me in a few weeks. I just put 4 Blizzaks on a set of same size G35 18" wheels.

I'm about to put the same tires on my car with 18s from tire rack. If there's more than a few inches of snow on the ground the g will be staying in the garage. With the stock summer tires the car barely moves if there's a dusting of snow.

blizzak lm60's are great. keep in mind, since the coupes sit low, dont expect to drive in deep snow. eventually you become a plow truck

Majority of my G customers are very happy on Blizzaks. If those are not available my next pick would be the Michelin X-Ice XI2.

In high school i used blizzaks on my altima and they were the best winter tire ive used on a non 4x4. I lived in Lake Tahoe and if you have ever been their in the winter you know it snows alot and at night their is alot of ice on the roads. I never had a problem with them and that was back in 2001-2004. with the technology now a days im sure those tires got even better. Blizzaks FTW

I'm also very satisfy with the performance of the Blizzaks LM-60's. If you see snow and ice get winter tires.
