The stock rotors are the heaviest rotor practically ever seen on a production car haha. Yes they are that heavy

racing brake has front only 2 pc rotors (last time i checked they were still not out with rears)

relentless autosport has front/rear 2 pc rotors

the wilwood kit that peyman got seems like the best route. after you purchase them, you sell your stock kit and the price will have been the same as if you bought 2 pc front and rears but now you have 6 piston/4pistons. Talk to peyman, he is the one who has done it so far. I'm gonna bite the bullet in a month and do it

I dunnno coolraz, I like the style of vossen wheels. Yes they are heavier than some, but to help that out I say just upgrade your rotors and that will help. Yes, our oem rotors are heavy. PLus new rotors looks nice. Thats what I would do, I am surprised no juan mentioned this.

I love the look of the wheel plus the 5th cosmetic/lifetime structural warranty is awesome.
W/o air or tires my cv-2 is 29lbs for the 20x9 and 30lbs for the 20x10.5. Def heavier than the stockies

As for 4.08 gears, even if it may work on auto, I don't think it will work on the X, cus won't I have to do somethign to the front differential???

are the X rotors the same as g37S rotors? seems like they are smaller thus lighter, so will I really be able to shed 10lbs on each rotor by upgrading (which is what I would need to the wheels back to within oem weights). Oh I just checked wilwood.....its says RWD only will not fit all AWD models. Not sure whether it means it wont' fit ANY AWD models or maybe it may or may not fit. Still, $4k in rots is the price of some lightweight volks, and half the price of a turbo setup : )

This made me sad. I love the look of the Vossens, but seeing how much they weight, I'll never get them. I think that getting a lightweight (18lbs-21lbsl) in 19" would be the best way to go if you're looking for performance to not be impaired in any way. By the way, does anybody know how much lighter the AP Racing Brakes kit from Stillen would be than stock? That would be helpful to know.

My acceleration feels as good now as it did when I bought the car, even after the break in period. However, when I was running 235/255 30's on my CV1's, I was hating life. Wheel hop and 0 traction in 1st gear...

Now that I have 255/285 30's, it's hard to break traction and she takes off like a boss.

Perhaps if you filled your tires with helium? If you check tire weights, you'll see a significant increase in weight it going to a lower profile or a higher speed rating.
