Flush Offsets
Flush Offsets
I bought a set of 18'' aftermarket wheels that look absolutely horrible because I didn't know much about wheels. I want to upgrade to 20 inch wheels but I want them to be as flush as possible with the fenders, no space going in and nothing poking out. Does anyone know an offset spec that will have my wheels flush? I have an 08 coupe BTW.
I want my coupe to basically look like this when its done

It's not an exact science. If you go 9.5" front and 10.5" rear, offsets in the low to mid 30's will be good. In the teens to mid 20's will be too aggressive and stick out. 40's or more may be too inset for you. The best possible scenario is to see the exact wheel on a G37. Ideal is to be able to test fit them on your car.
Right now I am looking at these set of wheels: 20 x 8.5 / 20 x 10 with +15mm in the front and +35mm in the rear. My coupe isn't lowered at the moment. Would these look pretty decent?
If you have low offsets without a drop, your wheels will stick out like crazy. Until you drop it, it will sit flush. With a 15 offset in the front, you will need to stretch your tire. Might poke out, but very little. 30 offset in the rear will be nice and flush.
