Will these 20 inch fit?

I have two slightly bent 20 inch x 8.5 inch wheels (40 mm offset) that have been discontinued. I found the same style in a 20 inch x 9.5 inch but only a 20 mm offset. They are all 5/114.3 bolt pattern which is correct.

I have 245/35 Falken 452 tires that I would like to mount and run on my front wheels for a G37S with the BBK. I have the same wheel in 10 inch on the rear with a 40 mm offset.

The 8.5 inch wide fits with the Falkens so I assume the 9.5 inch will fit. I am concerned about the smaller offset but the wheel is larger. Does this compensate?

Is this correct? Is there a down side?

Update: I used an offset calculator at Wheel Offset Calculator

and it idicates that it will extend 7 mm on the inside and 33 mm on the outside compared to my bent wheels. I think I don't have that much room. Will the tire fit the 9.5 inch rim?

Alternatively I found another wheel with an 8.5 inch at 20 mm offset, but this one has it 20 mm more both inside and out. Probably too big but appreciate comments.

So I'm confused.

How is it that if 2 wheels are both 8.5 inch in width they don't have the same clearance on the wheel well? For example, I have an 8.5 inch wheel with a 40 mm offset, but if I change to another 8.5 inch wheel with a 20 mm offset, the calculator says it will stick out further in BOTH directions.

I can see it shifting positions in or out by changing the offset, but not getting bigger.

What am I missing here? Am I reading the results correctly?

Update: I see now I am reading the results incorrectly. When the calculator says "more" on the strut side they mean more clearance, but "more" on the outside means it sticks out further. Too obvious.

So my question still stands, will a 20 mm offset fit under the G's front fender?

9.5 +20mm is really agressive. Typical G fitment is 9.5 + 35 in the front.

Wider wheels need to be less aggressive (higher offset) to compensate.
For example: 9 inch wheel with +30 offset = 9.5 inch wheel with +36 offset. (these will have the same outer position of the wheel, while having 12mm less clearance on the inside of the wheel.

In your case, you are getting a wider wheel AND lower offset (more aggressive) so these wheels will stick considerably further out and most likely rub like crazy.

So now I looking at the same wheel design as my other wheels but can't get the same offset as they are discontinued. I have found an 8.5 inch with 20 mm offset compared to my original 8.5 inch with 40 mm offset. The closest I can find.

I was intending to place the bent rim back on the car to see if the extra 20 mm would still fit but when I picked up the wheels from the straightening shop, they had unmounted the tires (preparing to straighten them).

Now I either have to take a chance and order the 20 mm offsets, remount the wheel on the bent rim, or just mount the wheel and guess. The weakest alternative is to buy 4 new rims.

Any suggestions are welcome.....

Even if it fits your front wheel will be sticking out further than the rear and look REALLY STUPID...guess you need get those "slightly bent" wheels repaired.

Im confused, are you trying to just buy 2 new wheels, so youll have 2 8.5 +40 and 2 9.5 +20?

If so you have to put the 8.5s on the front and the 9.5s on the rear, obviously.

They will fit, thats not that aggressive. But the fronts are gonna be crazy tucked, so youll prob wanna get some spacers.

To help clear it up, I want to buy 2 front wheels that are the exact same design (Voxx Misano 20 inch by 8.5) as the ones I need to replace, so they match my rear wheels. The 8.5 inch on the front has been bent and cannot be repaired a second time.

The closet ones I can find with the right bolt pattern and design are 20 by 8.5 inch but 20 mm offset. I'm concerned that the 20 mm offset will be too much; my bent rims were 40 mm offset.

So the only question I have is will a 20 mm offset on an 8.5 x 20 inch wheel fit on the front of a G37S?

The other post may also be correct - "Even if it fits your front wheel will be sticking out further than the rear and look REALLY STUPID...guess you need get those "slightly bent" wheels repaired."
