6 inches of snow? No problemo...

No problemo for the G37S with Blizzak LM25s at the wheels. Even on unplowed driveways, the G37S cleared it with the Blizzaks.

Just wanted to let people out there on the fence for a rwd G37 and snow tires that you can get around without trouble as long as you're mindful of the throttle. If you push to hard, your back will still kick out. But if you're careful, you can easily get around town or interstate.

Just watch the turns.

G37S + Blizzaks = FTW

I'm really glad I got the LM-25's over the LM-60's though, living in DC...snow storm last week and it feels like we're in Fall today.

i got the lm-60's on my 19's. while I would recommend driving through a blizzard, they do manage to get you home. assuming you drive like a grandma and avoid all hills.

I also have the LM-60's on my stock 19's. So far I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. I even think the G37S will even outperform my 4Runner with all-season light truck tires.

I have the LM-25, it sucks on any incline/hill. I really wish AWD was out when I got the G.

I've had a set of brand new LM60's (225/50 18's on 18x8's +30 offset) on & off my G37S 6mt a couple of times in the past few weeks and absolutely HATE them! Tried them in about 3" of snow - they sucked. Plus the handling is horrible, and I can't get the "slip" light to not blink even on dry pavement unless I totally baby it. Should I try different size/type tire on the 18's, or go back to a different brand on with the stock 19" wheel?

I have the lm-60's on my sport 19's and they seem to handle fine in the dry. I mean no slip light comes on ever and I dont drive like I would in summer.

Hey Shumby... how have you found the Alpins in the snow this year? A lot of guys over on the BMW forums are complaining about the ice and snow grip of the PA3 (they all rave about its dry pavement performance but are really disappointed with its snow/ice performance compared to the LM-60). I'm debating LM-60s or Alpins for my next winters (next year). More concerned about snow and ice performance than dry pavement performance.

If I could get a true winter (non-performance) that would fit the 19" rims, I would take it in a heartbeat. Our weather can be nasty with freak and unexpected snow/ice and I don't push the car hard in winter anyway.

My LM-60's performed great in this morning's snow and the VDC did not have to kick in once.
And there were accidents all around me. And tonight I managed climbed my steep driveway, VDC came on for a few seconds only. My 94 Honda Accord, back-up car, which is using non performance all season tires could not climb the driveway. So far I'm very pleased with these tires.

Yep. IMO, they are an absolute necessity if you drive in snowy/icy conditions. Why people want to put their life in danger by driving on AS tires is beyond me......especially since you are really not out any money by buying a proper winter setup.

I run Blizzaks mounted on 350Z wheels and they perform awesome. I've had zero issues with my RWD G, and the last few winters we've been absolutely pounded with snow.
