Lest there be any confusion as to the definition of improvement → my own custom shaped cloths > a very thin cloth

 

I usually take off wheels off the car and wash the wheels individually with soap and water. For the tight spots, I'll use the q-tips. I also use Smartwax Wheel Wax on them.

 

Not on sale but Costco has carried them for many years, they used to come in a pack with multiple colors, that was cool!

Bumping an old thread, but do you have any pics of your GT30's? I don't see a thread with pics, and you set your account so people cant send you PM's.

 

These are a mother to clean aren't they, matte blacks even funner. I use a leaf blower to remove the water and follow up with detailer. I'm about to give poor boy's wheel sealer a try so hopefully a wash and blow will be enough for regular washes with the thin cloth only being required quarterly.

 

What about cleaning that nasty brown puddle inside the wheel barrel? What's your method there?

 

Leaf blower keeps it from ever happening, if you need to scrub it I'd try the mini-brush. As painful as they are to clean they're still my favorite wheel for the G and worth every wipe. The way the formula silver is lighter in the center and get's gun metal moving outward is pure magic. This picture was taken with a year old polish and selant which had completely worn off. I just finished detailing it again and sealing and the goggles, do nothing now.

10mm Graphic Language vinyl for the TA strips, sure it's the same as what's can be had on ebay only they don't list size there and may be 6mm stripes.

 

You should see my Gt30's right now.. i haven't gotten a chance to clean em up for like a month or two. Every day or other day it rains. Florida weather is ridiculous during summertime..

The cloth idea is fantastic though, im gonna try it out.
