Vibration after installing front wheel spacers?

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem, or even installed spacers, but I did some 5mm spacers up front to slightly push out the front wheels. Around town they seemed fine and car drove fine, but when I took the car on a road trip noticed major vibration from the fronts. I have since taken the spacers off... I used highend H&R spacers which should be true, but don't know.

Anyone else have issues? Of maybe an idea of what I might have done wrong?

I had the same issue from my cheap azz 7mm spacers that were non-hubcentric but now I have 10mm hubcentric and no problem at all.

I thought the H&R were hubcentric.... for $85 they should be... I bought both 10mm and 5mm at the same time. 10mm in rear are fine. What brand did you use and on the 10mm, did you use the supplied bolts? Any pictures.... I almost want to say 10mm might be to much, especially on OEM wheels. Are you running OEM 19's or after market?

Just noticed you are a G35... sorry.

Yeah I have a G37 but still in FL G35 Club.

H&R should be hubcentric though so that is kinda weird. Mine are Eibach and I did have to switch out to the longer provided studs and I am on Maya STM's not stockers.

Exact same problem

Just picked up my car today with Eibach 5mm front and 10mm rear. It looked great and felt alright around town, but once I dot over 50mph the wheel was staring to thrum. By 65, it was undriveable. So I brought it back and they took off the fron spacers and now the car is perfect.

They are guessing, thetech guys at the shop, that the "hub" on the spacer, while hub centric, does not sit as well as the 10mm because the 10mm has more of a hat so to speak. They think that a 10mm spacer should not give a problem but I think I will leave it like this!

My friend says that you can really tell in the rear, a nice improvement, one that I think is a must have.

I do like the way the rears sit now with my 10mm, the best look for the front for me was an 8mm, but no body makes a hub-centric 8mm... there are cheapo's on ebay, but that is it. Obviously our car is slightly different and even the H&R, EiBach, etc are not a tight enough fit.

If they weren't $110, I might try 10mm on the front with the new studs, but that is a lot of work and I think 10mm would be too much.

I found one guy who will custom make any size you want and hub centric. Pretty fair price too. You jkust have to get allot of info on the sizing like centerbore size and a couple other things so he can make it exact.

PM me if you want me to track down his info again.

I agree, a very wothwhile upgrade to the look because not only does it push out the wheels, but seems to close that wheel gap, it looks slightly lowered.

I think there is space for a 10mm spacer up front, I think I will try it...tomorrow when they install the 275s in the rear and put the 245s up front, we'll put them on and see if they fit right.
