G37XS coupe tires question

Hey guys,
I just picked up a 2011 g37 coupe awd with sport package. I got the 19 inch rims and the tires that came with it are all seasons yokohama a83 225/45/19 tires. Just seeing if this is the right tire. All the g37 S 6 speed coupes all have bridgestone tires.

Any advice

thanks

225 is too nerrow, I would replace them next day for 245 or even wider. For summer, Michelin PilotSport PS2 are great tires.

I agree the stock 19inch rims are what 19x8.5? 225 tires seem narrow. I think 245 or 255 even would be better. I also like that in the car manual that came with the car, it only has tire warranty for bridgestone or good year tires. Usually the new cars have a manual or brochure on warranty with the tires it comes with, but i cant seem to find any info in the manual packet for the yokohama tires.

Any thoughts on this guys?

Until I got my G37XS coupe I was drving a Ford Fusion Hybrid. Compared to that the yokos are fine.

The sedan has Dunlop 225 tires as well on the AWD model. The M37S and M56S have 245 tires.

Would 245 or 255 fit on the wheel?

That is the question. Since the wheels are 8.5 wide, wider (245) tires should fit easily. Be careful of too much "stagger" that will affect the AWD system.

Yes they are, I am driving my X on 245/45-19 tires. All 4 are same size since awd. Original tires are junk, how would Nissan expected people to drive on 225/55?

I thought staggered wheels were fine as long as the overall diameter at all four corners were the same. 9s up front and 10.5s in back and a 20" wheel all around. At least that is what I have taken away from reading up on this here when I read "rotational diameter".

Thanks. I'll probably keep them till next summer when I get some wheels.

You're correct. Running staggered wheels on an awd is fine just as long as the rolling diameter of your tires are within 3%.

I guess I can't do math.

I have the 2011 coupe AWD (not sport pkg) and stock is 18x8, tires are Dunlop 225/50R18. I actually am thinking of keeping my (you say crappy) all-season stock tires and investing in some nice 19" rims. Jesus, then I get scared that my stock tires and bigger rims would not fit. (Dealer actually said narrower tires were more sporty and "agile." How can that be right?)

Oh man, my head hurts.
