why get new wheels
why get new wheels
what is wrong with the stock wheels? if customization is what is wanted, there are much better ways of personalizing a car in my opinion, for example, instead of spending 10k on rims, why not a nice UNIQUE air brush?
so if anyone has any ideas on why to get new wheels, i wont argue with anyone.. i would just like to know what goes through people's head in that thought process.
if your wheels are free/sponsored, posting is not needed, your answer is a unique and obvious situation.
this question is really posed to anyone who would spend their own money on wheels.

i guess i worded my original post in a way to not really get the responses i wanted..
my question is really more of is there something wrong with the original rims that people want to change, or is this just the easiest or most common way for people to get the visible customization?

Weird thread. I bought mine b/c they are sick to me. Everyones car will look hte same in a parking lot but a nice set of custom painted deep dish rims with huge brakes you can't beat. I also got mine to fit bigger brakes.
And i paid a ton for mine.

I like changing rims because My car is my hobby i guess... I love to tinker with it and change things to make it personal...
and personally i like the stock rims... I just like Aftermarket ones better

Nothing wrong with the stock wheels. In fact, I, as well as a lot of people, think that the stockies are pretty nice.
But, it could be better with customized rims that fit exactly what you like/looking for.
Stock is good, but everyone's different, and some would like it to be even better and more unique.
That and I agree with pretty much what everyone's said so far.

I hate seeing another car that looks just like mine. I have to make it different. Changing wheels is the most effective way to do that.
Then you have to hope no one else with the same car buys the same wheels.
