Its just that he would recieve the money from everyone on paypal and spend it on himself and personal use thinking that he wasn't going to run into problems and such. When the problems came around and the customer wanted the money back it was no where to be found because he spent it all on other things. IMHO

Im sure he worked from home and had a very limited inventory of things.

I wont lie, i ordered well over $500.00 worth of things from Andy at Hpautoworks and everything came in within a reasonable time. Though i knew never to order such a big amount. I tested him out the first couple of times with springs, camber kits, HID, etc. Small things, one time the HID fog came in a box, no brand name, wires looked used. I knew it wasn't from a store or legit company. After that day and from talking to him a lot personally about life and his habits i knew it wasn't a good idea to front the guy anything over $1000.00 that he would have to order and wait for it and then ship it out.

Good thing hes not a reputable vendor on the forum anymore. No one needs that kind of stress in their lives with that amount of money. Jenkins, im sorry that you had to experience that.

Customer's weren't the only ones, R2C hasn't been paid for all the Intakes they sold via HPAuto the last time I talked to Ed. I mentioned this to Andy the last time we talked... "I'll call him he said." I'm sure Ed will be engaging councel. Sucks to have a good manufacturer treated this way though, hurts the whole community.

Ordered my Sustecs from Lou, while I work on doing everything I can to get my $800 back from HPAutotheft.

I tried buying eibach springs from him around April 09. He was slow to reply to emails and I still haven't gotten my money back or the springs. I only went to him since he had a good reputation on here at the time. I guess I'll just have to be patient and get the springs from someone else.

Well he just gave me 2 tracking #s. They both say that they have been picked up a 4:33 pm. He said he didnt get my other 2 wheels out fast enough and the driver left. The other 2 are suppose to go out tomorrow. Seems kinda fishy. We'll see Ill stay on him tomorrow to get #s.

Did they have the correct weight for the wheels in the tracking numbers?

He'll give you tracking #'s, but they never leave the hub there supposed to be shipped from. He go into the UPS website and generate the shipping tags with weight estimates, but never actually take anything to a UPS hub. Then he'll say UPS must've lost them and he has a claim into them.....he'll follow that up with UPS is sending a refund check to him and once he receives it, he'll deposit it and send you your money back. After two weeks of BS, you'll follow up with UPS only to find out they've never issued a refund check and don't know what you're talking about...

bad news a bbb complaint will do zero.I used to have a boss that would just toss them in the trash.

best advise is file a claim in small claims court.gather all info aboug his business and personal info(internet is a great tool) once anyone sees you sent him $$ via paypal and he never delivered.he's beat.if he has a renewable business lic.or you can hit him with an information supena.ask the judge for this since he is a fly by night.he has to list all accounts/homes/cars etc.

you mention this to the judge/clerk.

then he gets 30 days to pay.
ny judements last 30 yrs.if he has a house, and don't pay you can have the sherrif collect it for you and they will put more fees on top for andy to pay.

you are lucky! I have been spear heading the removal of Andy from the IB run forums. I have now taken the matter into the hands of a lawyer that is just around the corner from Andy. I gave him $3,000 9 months ago. he now owes me $750. HPAutoworks is not recognized as a legal business in AZ. I did the small claims and BBB and Attorney General. Lawyer will do the job now. A few phone calls, letters and he will have to file for bankruptcy. I warned him and gave him every opportunity along the way.
