We are having this same surging/revving problem in a 2007 G35. Customer service told us there was a computer fix available, but when we took it in to the dealer they said there was no fix, but they still wanted to charge us $135 to clean some part (which we declined) We are thinking about going to the media to complain because if this is a mechanical defect, it should be covered under the warranty!

Haven't been here in a while so I wanted to give you all an update on this issue. After further research it appears TSB ITB07-048 was my problem. This is well documented and the "fix" is to reprogram the ECM.

Dealer executed the TSB and problem disappeared for about 1 year. Problem came back this past August so I had dealer re-execute this TSB again. Problem seems to be gone again. I don't know if there is a permanent fix for this issue. I'm glad my lease on this vehicle is up in 3 months as I would not want to keep dealing with this dangerous problem anymore than I have to.
