Turned the G in for a M
I turned my G37 Sport sedan in three months early on the pull ahead deal and picked of this '13 M37 with Premium and Technology packages. This car is nothing short of amazing considering all the gadgets.
While my G never saw a dealer in 2yrs and 40,000 miles of driving, it was getting small on me so this bigger M is a welcome addition.
Here's a crappy picture on a rainy day at the dealer.

On June 26th, I did the same. A new 2013 M37X - Black Obsidian with a Stone Deluxe Touring Interior. It is a Beauty !!! The Deluxe Touring interior IMO, is impressive. The Stone blends so very well with the rest of the interior. I also went with a Java, but I did not like the contrast with the balance of the interior in the daylight (looking under florescent lights in the dealership does not do it justice). Anyway, that's what makes a Horse Race.....to each their own. it wasn't for me.
I've been posting for years on this forum having had 2 Infiniti Gs: 2007 G35X and a 2010 G37X.
I'll post more opinions aas I drove the car some more. So far, I'm really happy. Much happier than the 2010 G37X. The new Pull Ahead program that was resurreced on June 7th is what pushed me off the fence on toward the M vs. other cars I was considering.

DoN - not yet. I'm no expert on posting pics. But if you go to Infiniti's web site - select the M - select Colors - and view the slide show of pics of the interior, when you pick the Stone deluxe (it will read in the Pic's caption), you will see how it's the only color that flows with the balance of the interior (dash side walls, etc). It offers less contrast. And with the Black Ob exterior : it's really sharp!!
I know it's only 2 days : But I Love This car...I can't say that when I picked up my 2010 G37x (after having a 2007 G35X). So far, the drive train is night and day different (I was really N E R V O U S about that being so dissapointed with the 2010 G's problems with the 7AT).

Hello all. Been a long time visitor to this site but finally signed up to post.
I recently traded up my 2010 G37 for a 2013 M37. Both were Moonlight White and since they are somewhat similar in profile, it's almost like I dumped a girl only to date her slightly older sister.
First off, I have to say I did experience a bit of remorse in the first few days of my new M. Probably because I loved my G so much and this car was different enough in driving feel.
The G was by far the most fun I ever had behind the wheel of any of my cars. It felt like an extension of myself and responded to the throttle and steering exactly like I wanted.
In comparison, the M felt a bit less responsive. For example, the G always felt like it had a wave of power waiting under the accelerator, whether I was at a stoplight or doing 65 on the highway. The M felt more hesitant. The M also sat noticeably higher behind the wheel. Granted, these are what test drives are for, but honestly, I tend to be more restrained in test drives. I more go on posted performance stats and use the test drive to get the feel of the interior layout, blind spots, etc. If the reviews post under 6 seconds and applaud the acceleration I'm not about to slam a new car on a test drive.
However, very quickly, the M has grown on me, a lot. My buyers remorse is completely gone. I have found that sport mode is almost as much fun as my G was. The higher sitting position does remain as a sticking point but everything else about the car eclipses that.
The build quality and attention to detail is noticeably above my G, both on the interior and exterior. Probably since the current G dates back to 2007 and the current M design dates from 2011. Plus the car has a great profile. It is not as aggressive in the front as a G or a Q50 but it does look very classy. And the interior design and room are perfect for me. My family has just enough room in the back where they were a bit cramped in the G.
I may always recall my G as my favorite car, although this one may usurp that title one day. The only real complaint as I mentioned would have to be the higher ride height. But that is a small compromise considering all the improvements this car has over my old one.

scrimshaw, Agreed.....I did the same replaced my 2010 G37X for a 2013 M37X. Now with 2 months under my belt with a terrific deal to boot, the car is a delight : more luxurious, more room, less aggressive handling, but certainly very capable and with the Deluxe Touring interior, I'm very, very pleased. The Audi A-6 3.0 Quattro was the number 1 car in my test drives for the replacement of the G, but for the overall Value for the Buck, (waiver of the last 3 months of my G's lease), IMO the M37X was my way to go. I'm even very impressed with the MPGs I'm getting - around 23- 24.5 MPGs with only 2200 miles on the clock, 65% Highway, 35% City/Suburban driving.
