I'm the happy new owner of a 2008 Amethyst Graphite G37. Can anybody recommend a good detail shop in OC (preferably North OC)? I'd like to take it to a pro for an initial "fix all the little scratches".

Not sure if you're looking for a cheap detailer that hides the scratches and imperfections with sealant or if you're looking for a legitimate detail shop that actually corrects the paint and does a full on detail.

If you're looking for a full detail, then I would say Ultimate Shield in Orange. Have heard nothing but great things about them. I do my own detailing so I've never used them, but give them a call. Kind of expensive but from what i've seen they do a great job.

Thanks for the Ultimate Shield recommendation. I took my car there about a month ago and they did a really nice job on the overall detail (wash, clay, polish, seal) and repair of all the problem areas I pointed out. They didn't get 100% of the spider webs and smalls scratches, but its a night-and-day difference before and after. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of work done.

 

How much did you pay?

 

$200 for exterior detail only. Full wash and cleaner, clay, polish, and wax (or seal, I brought my own for them to use). I think this price was a little higher than normal since I had them do extra work on some scuff marks and other "problem areas" which were all completely fixed.
