53 degrees C!
Makes me better appreciate the hardships for the GIs out there, lugging their combat gear, wearing a helmet and boots in this weather.
A few years back it got close to 40C, here in Calgary, you should have heard the moaning and pissing that day. We spent the whole day wallowing in the kiddie's inflatable pool, drinking cold ones.

LOL, 40C is spring...we don't start swimming until it gets to 42-43, we consider it 'too cold'. And you are right, for us who work at office jobs it's not so bad - A/C is everywhere - house, car, office, shops/malls. GIs have it real tough, don't know how they manage. Kuwait is a bit easier, because we have dry heat. South of us it's real hell on earth - Dubai etc, they get heat and humidity which I personally find unbearable.

30C is nice. My previous car was a vert. Loved having the top down on summer nights.

You're not kidding man! The difference between dry heat and high humidity heat is almost unfathomable! I do a lot of business in Dallas but live in Ohio, played golf in 115 degree dry heat in Dallas and while it was hot, it wasn't unbearable. Then play golf in Ohio in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity....... complete misery!!! I would take a dry 115 over a humid 90 any day!

i know this is a different car im speaking off, but i just today installed a Hayden 14row(if im not mistaken) tranny cooler in my 2002 Nissan Maxima.

$43 after taxes at my local auto parts store. It came with a 4foot hose, but that was not enough for me. so i went back and bought an additional 4feet. Install was simple, and i installed it in a series along with the stock OEM radiator tranny cooler.
(tranny-> radiator tranny cooler -> new aftermarket tranny cooler -> back into tranny)

here are some pics of it installed.(i will update clearer pics tomorrow, as its 10:40pm here and im tired)

I INSTALLED THE TOP LINE TO BRING THE FLUID IN. WHILE THE BOTTOM LINE, THE FLUID EXITS INTO THE TRANNY.

Thanks for the post ImStricken, looks like you did a great job! Since everything is so hard to get here in Kuwait, I decided to monitor temps carefully and see how things go. We are now in early Sept, so the worst of the heat is over, and I can report that I had no issues at all - not even when driving real hard in city traffic at mid-day, on the hottest days of the year! Guess Infiniti did do it right.

I am also happy to report that OEM spoiler I bought from you did not warp, even though my car is parked outside and exposed to some of the hottest direct sunlight on earth!

again before i post- i want to apologize that this is on my 2002 maxima, but my g37s is a stick- so no cooler needed.
but since g37guy01
asked, i did do a write for the guys on the maxima forums. ill just copy & paste you guys here to get a rough estimate of what & how.

I decided to go with well known & recommended tranny cooler radiator supplier, instead of some ebay supplier from Asia. I am running this in a series along with the radiator tranny cooler. This unit is designed for a Gross vehicle weight to 18,000 lbs. So i figured this would be MORE than enough for my 2002 Maxima GLE. I will be towing mine & wifey's 2 race bikes to the track every couple weeks in the warm months- so this is a great investment.(its even a great investment for anyone who doesn't tow, but spends time in traffic- which i do often to wine & dine HER in nyc lol) But for those that dont tow, or abuse their cars- this is still a great add-on to any car because it will cool the fluid down even further than the stock cooler can, thus further preserving precious seals/valves/clutch-packs. also since fluid is naturally thicker when cold- it creates more pressure for the valves to operate in - thus resulting in smoother shifts while driving. This is almost a mandatory upgrade in my eyes for those that are now past the warranty date. this will preserve our trannys and allow for further service life.
plus if you did upgrade your horsepower; the tranny is really what takes all the raw power and transfer's it to the wheels. so if the engine gets upgrades - so should your tranny. (otherwise you will blow out your tranny)

WOW, thanks for the very generous offer! I'll check with my cousin who runs a local garage if he can handle the install and with dealer re. impact on my warranty. If it all checks out, I'll be in touch!
